Dears Friends,     Greetings once again in Jesus wonderful Name! We hope our newsletter
finds you well and blessed in the Lord…..who is able to do immeasurably more than
all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
Ephesians 3:20 .             
  UK Visit
Thank you to all, for your prayers, support and messages! I fully intended to write sooner with
our news, but time flies - We praise the Lord since our last communication...our flight tickets to
the UK are now purchased. Thankyou to all who helped!  We will be traveling God willing 13th
December - And return Brazil 4 February 2019. - We still need to find accommodation while
in Shropshire while I dispose of my belongings in the UK which have been in storage since
2007…Regarding our stay in the UK from December 13th till the 4th of February - Our agenda
is open for anyone who would like us to visit their church, ministry  or have street outreach
with pictures. I also thought about Hyde Park and Speakers Corner and do some painting...
quite an experience as there were no shortage of hecklers the last time I was there in the 90s!
But we shall see….we don't know what the weather will be like! Here in north east of Brazil,
he weather is extremely hot now...so we will have quite a contrast when we arrive in the UK…
.Please pray we still need to raise finance for renewing passports for Josi and Dorothy and we
don't have much in the way of warm clothing. As regards transport within the UK - after being
away over 11 years away this will be interesting! .
                               
Further thoughts - YWAM - Educating for Life Curriculum
Last June we were contacted  by Lisa Orvis of the YWAM University of the Nations, College
of Education and it started the ball rolling for many things, including the new Education
curriculum which the College of Education UofN had developed. "Educating for Life".  Josi
was already getting ready for the Workshop in July and was on a 21 day Daniel fast for the
Workshop. Breakthrough started occurring at the end of Josi's fast....The curriculum Lisa
kindly sent us I was trying to fathom out how to translate what is over 800 pages without
having to process page for page -  a very big undertaking! But after searching online I found
a software which could translate in short order.. a couple of nights.....as each module was
being translated and downloaded I was realizing a dream come true, prayers which had
been prayed over years were being answered ...and then it was completed - I can only
say that it must be the Lord for this kind of thing to happen.  It was a draft translation and
needs revision but Josi said it was good - she could understand it. To us it can only seem
like a miracle, an answer to prayer - Josi and her colleagues in Brazil have waited so many
years - a Christian Education Curriculum in Portuguese - And now she is holding one in her
hands! We still have a little more work to do...we are at the next stage which is revision and
correction. Please pray for all those involved with correction and revision -  Training is being
prepared for next year to help educators use the curriculum.


Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don't deserve.

More on the Poster - The Gospel Target for Soldiers and Volunteers
Working on the picture I have often pondered the meanings it contains ...one such is a small
vignette (scene). - A general in uniform with a scripture underneath - Christ Jesus came into
the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief. 1 Timothy 1:15
The Apostle Paul knew he was the chief of sinners, but certainly we are all chiefs when
we think of our own sin….do we accept this or want  to blame someone or something else?
circumstances or look for a scapegoat? Looking at the poster - Certainly given the military
disasters of the time and politics… there must have been more than a few British generals
and leaders who pondered quietly on their own careers.  The date the poster was created
looks to be somewhere between 1878 and before 1885. Certainly the evangelical movement
at the time took very seriously the spiritual welfare of soldiers. as testified by the incredible
efforts and lengths some missions went to in distributing New Testaments and Biblical
literature like the Gospel Target poster distributed in thousands to the troops sent to various
corners of the globe…I will hopefully expand more on this in future newsletters and write
about the author of the poster W.C.M.

Answers to Prayer
We have had some other significant answers to prayer since our last news and of course
the visit the UK is one of those. We do value your prayers and we can see the Lord is
answering them in many remarkable ways  - I shall share more in our next newsletter.
Please keep praying!


As we prepare for our visit to the UK please pray we will be able to have all the necessary
things in order and ensure the property and base here will be easy to take care of for those
taking care of it.
We continue to give thanks to the Lord for the wonderful way our laptop is still functioning -
I managed to eliminate a virus or malware the other day which was slowing it down….
It makes a big difference!

The  printer finally stopped, but we give thanks to the Lord for the finance to purchase a
new one!. Where would we be without these valuable tools!.


But we still have a need for a new washing machine…we have alot of needs and so have to
prioritize and things like this do get postponed.

Maintenance for the school structure...update on emergency roof repairs -  I am grateful
to the Lord for the old blue rope - which helps keep our roof in place!...old technology,
that might just make you think of the hymn “Will your anchor hold in the storms of life”
But yes - I know I have to figure out the roof situation and make a more permanent fix,
but for the moment we give thanks to the Lord!
